2PM, the most awarded group for the Rookie of the year award in Asian field for the 26th Japan Golden Disk grand prize!
2PM, the best performance boy-band in Asia, has been selected as the most beloved rookie in Japan for the year 2011.
2PM got awarded as the very first prize winner for the newly founded “New Artist of the Year” section as well as winning the best 3 New Artists award in the 26th Japan Golden Disk Grand Prize that was held last January 27th in Tokyo. With that, 2PM has put their name on as the most beloved rookie in Japan for the past year.
The Criteria for the 26th Japan Golden Disk award selected the award winners based on the sales from Novenber 1st, 2010 to October 31st, 2011. As for 2PM, the group has released 3 original single albums and one official album in 2011 which all hit big in the market.
Also, 2PM has proved their sensational fame for sure by attracting total 100,000 audiences for the first Japan Arena Tour that happened last December going around 6 cities for 9 concerts. Taking the lead among the K-pop artists who entered the Japanese market, 2PM won the newly founded New Artists of the Year for Asian field as well as the Best 3 New Artists award with dignity.
2PM has been ranked on the 1st place among Korean artists, and ranked on the 2nd place after Kiss MyFt2 among all artists in annual Orikon rank for Rookie sales section in 2011. With that record, 2PM proved their solid popularity in Japan.
From April this year, it has been decided that 2PM will be appearing regularly on “Korean learning on TV” on NHK. The release of the first Korean best album in Japan titled ‘2PM BEST ~ 2008-2011 in Korea~” is set on March 14th as well. Moreover, on the popular female magazine ?Hanako?, which will be released on February 9th, 2PM got on cover with 2AM which resulted the big conversational issue.
Since entering the Japanese market at the end of the year in 2010, 2PM has put their efforts more than anyone for their performances. We would like to sincerely thank you and the fans for cheering and loving 2PM.
Meanwhile, 2PM is scheduled to continue the Asia Tour in China and the Southeast Asia this coming February.
